It is believed that Lord Shiva himself resides here as a divine healer, removing physical, mental, and spiritual suffering and bringing peace and prosperity into life.

Mahashivratri is celebrated every year on the Chaturdashi tithi of the Phalgun month. On this day, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married. It is also believed that on this day, Lord Shiva consumed the poison that emerged from the samudra manthan to protect the entire universe. That’s why worshipping on this day brings the blessings of both Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is a Rig Vedic verse that is regarded as the most powerful Shiva Mantra. It is made up of three Hindi words: “Maha,” which means wonderful, “Mrityun,” which means death; and “Jaya,” which means victory, resulting in victory over death. It also eliminates fears and promotes holistic healing.

Baidyanath Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and a symbol of his immense power. According to scriptures, This Jyotirlinga is surrounded by Goddess Sati, which makes it even more powerful and special and Lord Shiva is present here in the form of a healer, removing the physical, mental, and spiritual sufferings of his devotees. That is why worshiping at this Jyotirlinga helps overcome all difficulties.
